Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Entertainment District

We’ve always enjoyed the view of the Boardwalk from our room or the beach across the lake at the Beach Club.  We decided that December of 2012 would be our chance to try it on for size.  Maybe it was the Christmas music wafting through our balcony doors.  Maybe it was the garlands dripping with ornaments.  Maybe it was just the Christmas spirit, but we fell in love!  With so many nooks and crannies to explore and the allure of the actual Boardwalk, there’s no shortage of things to do at the resort.  We were only there for a weekend before moving to the Polynesian, but I found myself wishing we were staying there the entire trip.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas

In 2012, four years after the kids’ first trip to Walt Disney World, we decided to do a surprise trip to Walt Disney World the day after school was out for summer.  After school was out on the last day, HBelle came over, and we watched a special video that revealed the surprise…

They were kind of in disbelief, but once they realized it was real, they started asking questions, but we kept everything a secret until we arrived.  The first surprise was our home for the first couple days of our trip.  We were staying, for the first time, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas!

Stitchy-poo: Future Track Star!

Over the last couple of months, we got our first taste of the life of a soccer (well, track) mom.  My gpa signed Stitchy-poo up for track with our local YMCA’s spring track program.  Stitchy-poo was the kid who picked flowers in the outfield during his one season of t-ball.  He didn’t even want to set foot on the soccer field.  Track seems to be his thing, though, and I’m so glad he’s found an extracurricular!
