Resort and Restaurant Post Updates & Merch Fun!

It’s been over a month since our return from our October 2013 trip to the World, and I’m just now getting these updates going.  Guess that means fall and the holidays are in full swing because we hardly have a free moment around here.  We took lots of pictures, as usual, and were able to update existing posts.  I also found a few fun gifts that I love and that you might love, too!

Guest Post: Tips from a Walt Disney World Newbie

Hey all you Mayhem-makers!  I’m so excited to welcome Valerie to Magic, Memories, Mayhem!  Not only is she a great friend of mine, but she’s one of my recent Walt Disney World guests.  She took on the World for the first time as a mom this past spring and lived to tell the tale.  Check out a few of her tips…

Tips from a Walt Disney World Newbie

First of all, there is something you must know about me. I. AM. CHEAP. So cheap that I haven’t paid for toiletries in over 3 years. I’m that crazy lady in the checkout line with all of the coupons. I love the thrill of getting something for free. So this sentiment may come as a BIG SURPRISE…

Yak & Yeti

This past March, we decided to embark on a spur of the moment trip to Walt Disney World.  As in, my friend, Rose, approached me at the end of February wanting to book her and her daughter’s first trip and invited us along.  Three weeks later, we were at the World for spring break.  That being said, we didn’t have first pick of restaurants when it came to dining but made a few reservations at some family favorites like 1900 Park Fare and Garden Grill. We spent our last day in Animal Kingdom and tried to score same day reservations at Tusker House for lunch to no avail. While winding our way through the African/Asian border (you knew those were right next to each other, right?), we happened upon Yak & Yeti…

Big River Grille and Brewing Works

My friend, Siri, and I decided to hit Big River Grille and Brewing Works on day three of our Disney Agent Education Program when 9:30 P.M. rolled around, and we realized we hadn’t had dinner yet (rushing to Hollywood Studios to catch at least one ride on Tower of Terror before park closing was FAR more important!).  We were headed to Jellyrolls to experience a night at the club (totally research-based, I assure you!), and I didn’t want to be too late, so Big River Grille was the perfect option.  Located on the Boardwalk and offering no wait, it was an easy pick for our late dinner.
