Before You Book
Before you even think of sliding that credit card info over, we’ll walk through the different options of your Disney vacation. When visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland, we’ll discuss resorts, ticket options, dining plans and dates. If you have your sights set on an adventure on the high seas, we’ll explore the different ships, cruise dates, itineraries and state rooms. Thinking a week in paradise is more your speed? Let’s peruse Aulani’s rooms, activities, excursions and more. If you have an Adventures by Disney vacation in mind, well, the world is literally your oyster as we pore over destination options that span seven continents, and some can even be included with your Disney Cruise!
As your concierge agent, I will compare, contrast, tweak, fiddle and rearrange as many times as needed to arrive at your ideal vacation combination. Once you get there, it’s time to book!
Booking Your Vacation
Your new Disney bestie (Hi!) will book your vacation for you making sure all of those details we’ve waxed poetic about are in place, and we can begin your day-to-day vacation planning.
Securing your reservation can be done using any major credit card. Your information is secure and used only to make your Disney vacation payments and provide credit card guarantees for any other reservations (such as meals and other experiences) that require them. All charges will be confirmed prior to the transaction, and you will also be notified prior to placing credit card guarantees. All charges on your credit card will be from Disney, never from Story Time Travel or me (unless you are booking group rates). Rest assured that this information is in good hands!
Another bonus of booking with me is my ridiculously obsessive attention to discounts. I grew up with a coupon queen of a mama and am always on the lookout for a great deal! I am well-versed in military, resident, passholder, Disney Visa, PIN and general promotions. Once booked, I’ll monitor your reservation and apply any eligible promotions as they become available.
Planning Your Vacation
This is where we get to the fun stuff, the part where visions of Mickey Mouse hugs and Cinderella dances are put into motion! As mentioned earlier, I can be as involved as you’d like. Some guests book with me purely for the discount watch and prefer to book their own dining, recreation and event reservations. Others tell me what they want to do, I do all the planning and then send them a final itinerary. In these cases, I’m up at dawn (or earlier!) as soon as your booking window opens and on the phone or online so you can sleep in. That perk alone is the clincher for some.
Although the ability to sleep in is what may seal the deal, what most guests seem to really enjoy is the personalized service. I will take your preferences, favorites and interests, add in my Disney geek knowledge and help you plan the most magical vacation possible!
And here’s the best part…all of those services (and then some) are offered to you at absolutely no extra cost!! That’s right! The mouse takes care of Story Time and me so we can take care of you! I grew up very close to Disney World, and have been to the parks almost 50 times before I turned 25. When I visited with my kids later in life and hired a Disney guide, I was shocked at all the ins and outs I didn’t know! It is really worthwhile to use a certified Disney planner to help, especially if your trip is the “once in a lifetime” sort. Disney is changing things up quite a bit these days, so it’s always nice to have someone up on all the new aspects.
