Miami is home to a pretty busy cruise port, and our crew found itself sailing out of Miami for one last hurrah of summer. Not wanting to fall victim to any type of flight delays or cancellations, we always arrive in or near port the day prior to sailing. This left us with about a day and a half total on either side of our cruise. We had three generations in our party and, by and large, all activities were crowd pleasers.

Miami

We stayed near Wynwood, the arts district, and enjoyed quite a few nooks and crannies near our hotel.

A Day and a Half in New Orleans with Magic, Memories, Mayhem

Sugar Factory

Located across from Miami Beach, this stop is fun, flirty and full of sugar! Reservations are available and recommended for evenings.

Miami Beach

And, of course, we had to cross the street and take a dip in the ocean.

Double Decker Bus Tour

In true tourist fashion, we hopped aboard a Big Bus and made our way around Miami.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

HBelle had this place on her list, and it just happened to be at Bayside Marketplace. Service was a little iffy, but the food was good.

Wynwood Art District

This has to be my favorite place in Miami! The art, the food and the shops are full of brightness in both color and flavors.
