Story Book Dining at Artist Point

DINE WITH SNOW WHITE AND HER FAIRY TALE FRIENDS AT THIS ENCHANTED DINNER EXPERIENCE IN DISNEY’S WILDERNESS LODGE, FEATURING STORYBOOK CHARACTERS, A COZY FOREST SETTING AND A MENU INSPIRED BY THE MAGIC OF THE SEVEN DWARFS.

Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Magic, Memories, Mayhem

On a whim, while on a working trip with Stitchy and one of his soccer buddies, I flipped open My Disney Experience to see where we might be able to enjoy a nice, table service dinner that night. Imagine my surprise when Storybook Dining at Artist Point popped up on my results. Imagine my bigger surprise when the two teenage boys I had in tow agreed to dinner with Snow White. And so begins our first dinner at Artist Point…

The Dining Experience

Once the signature dining restaurant at Wilderness Lodge, the space that is now Story Book Dining at Artist Point has been transformed into an enchanted forest. During the day, the theming can feel a little over the top, but once the sun goes down, the twinkling lights and dramatic character entrances add a genuinely magical touch. (Yes, I said magical. It earned it.)

The tables are a bit close together, and the flow can get a little busy when guests are moving around for character photos, but we’ve never found it to be uncomfortable or overwhelming.

Artist Point also holds a special place in our family’s Disney story. My grandparents celebrated their anniversary here during the big kids’ first Disney trip almost 20 years ago, so we love seeing this space continue to be part of family memories. We’re big fans of the transformation and love that this once-quiet signature restaurant has become such a beloved character dining experience.

PhotoPass

Unlike many character meals, your PhotoPass photo shoot actually takes place in the middle of your meal as opposed to prior to seating.

The Evil Queen will summon you between entrees and dessert, and you’ll join her in the center of the restaurant for photos. Yeah, it’s a little awkward, but you’ll never see the guests at the surrounding tables again… probably, so ham it up. These pictures will show up in your account after you scan your MagicBand (or other media) with the photog.

The Food

Dinner at Artist Point includes table-shared appetizers and desserts, with each guest selecting their own entrée and beverages, including adult options. We love the chance to sample a little bit of everything while still having a main dish chosen just for you.

Characters

In addition to your audience with the Evil Queen, Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy will all make their way to your table for photos and fun.

We were pleasantly surprised by our spur-of-the-moment dinner at Story Book Dining with Snow White, and it quickly became a favorite. The food was a hit (even with two teenage boys, which is honestly a pretty strong endorsement), and we’ve since returned with our middle kids who loved it just as much.

Between the immersive setting, unique character interactions and a menu that feels a little different from your typical character meal, Artist Point has become one of those experiences we’re excited to recommend — especially for families looking for something a little outside the usual Disney dining lineup.
