Hidden in a watery nook at Epcot is one of the most unique restaurants at Walt Disney World. Coral Reef offers guests the opportunity to nosh on surf and a bit of turf while enjoying beautiful views of Epcot’s sea life and even live scuba divers.

The atmosphere is visually calming and serene, and I expected the vibe to continue in the dining room. Maybe it was that scene from Full House where you could fully hear the characters’ dialogue than gave me false expectations. But we are, in fact, at a Disney Park, and the aurals were a bit more school cafeteria than oceanside eatery. That said, it was still a very cool experience. 

The Food

Seafood, of course, is the main offering, although there are also plenty of options for most palates. 

Overall, this was a nice lunch, but we likely won’t return for a bit. While the atmosphere is a draw, the noise was a bit much (seemed louder than other restaurants), and the food was average for us. That said, this is a much easier reservation to snag than it once was. We grabbed this about 20 minutes prior to eating, and there were plenty of times available. If you’ve got a fish fan (either watching or eating!), dive right in!
