Liberty Tree Tavern seems to be a bit of a cult favorite. I book this one A LOT for guests but had never had the pleasure myself. Something about such a heavy meal in the middle of a theme park just didn’t appeal to me.
Enter post-2020 dining at Disney World where character meals, a favorite of our crew, hadn’t really made their way back in any meaningful way, and there weren’t even any options, socially distanced or not, in the Magic Kingdom. Knowing it likely wouldn’t make its way into our itinerary once the dining scene at the World returns to “normal,” I decided it would be a nice table service option for our multigen crew.
Liberty Tree truly is Thanksgiving day in the middle of the Magic Kingdom. While our family’s Thanksgiving feast tends to be a little more exotic and niche than just turkey and dressing, I have to say the offerings at Liberty Tree are nostalgically delicious! Everyone truly left satisfied and thankful, especially Maui, whose allergy friendly dessert had some blueberry surprises that he just loved!
The Menu
Thanksgiving. Straight up.
The Verdict
It’s good food, it’s just not what I want in my tummy on a hot Orlando afternoon before roller coasters. It’s a lot of heavy options plus that tryptophan, right? But if you’re going during the holidays and want a little tradition or don’t plan to be boisterous after eating, saddle up!
