If the bright pink letters and store windows aren’t enough to draw you in to any of the Pinkitzel locations, let me do a little more to get you in the (holiday) spirit. This year, our district opted for an entire week of Thanksgiving break! Hell yeah! With the extra days, we decided to do a little holiday get together on the first day of break.
Pinkitzel offers a variety of celebration packages at all of their locations from tea parties to cupcake decorating soirees. The Christmas season also ushers in just about the cutest party ever…gingerbread house decorating! This was the perfect outing for the four members of our teacher kid crew.
Pinkitzel Norman
The stores, pictured first is Norman, are absolutely ADORABLE with lots of vivids and sparkles. With nods throughout to Marie Antoinette, Frida Kahlo and, of course, the color pink, the vibe is all things bright and beautiful! I will note that Norman does not have the full cafe pictured in the OKC section. To be honest, I was pretty bummed because I had my heart set on another delish frozen hot cocoa. But, I guess we’ll just have to make our way back to OKC!
Pinkitzel OKC
The littles and I ended up at Pinkitzel OKC after a visit with their older brother and tummy mom. Mo’ was despondent over not having any gum upon the ending of the outing. Being that they had been so adaptable and gracious during our visit, I decided Pinkitzel would be the best stop for gum (and as you can see, other treats!). The last and only time I had been to this sweet store was when I was recovering from COVID and didn’t even have the strength to leave the car and walk inside. I just had a (delicious) hot chocolate to go. This spontaneous stop is what prompted me to look into the party space and then stumble upon the gingerbread house parties.
Gingerbread Party
It just so happens, that in addition to it being our first Pinkitzel party, we were also the first gingerbread crew of the year! As I mentioned earlier, a party of four will set you back $115.80. For that chunk-o-change, the decorators each receive a small, pre-assembled gingerbread house, icing, candy for decorating, an apron, hot chocolate (ours each got one small cup – think Dixie cup – but I imagine we could’ve asked for more), a cupcake to eat in-store or to take home, a party helper/host and a private party room. We were there about an hour with the decorating taking around 30 minutes and the rest of our time taken with a mommy-run photo shoot and a candy shopping spree.
Our lovely hostess did let us know, as we were discussing how much fun it would be to do a grown-up party since all of us were holding back our type A suggestions for the kids’ houses, that they are BYOB! Meaning, they’ll chill your mommy juice so you can pop one open at your own “tea party” with your 21+ squad. Reservations are already being comtemplated. Wanna come? 😉
Although no end dates are posted currently on the Pinkitzel booking page, I imagine gingerbread parties wil be going strong throughout the season.
