Welcome back to another Disney Tip Tuesday, our (kinda) weekly bite-sized blog post offering up a fun tip for visiting your favorite Disney destinations.

This week’s tip takes us to Walt Disney World for those guests who are staying at a Disney owned and operated resort.

Over our years of Disney World patronage, I have had four children lose teeth at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Though the magic has been different each time ranging from tooth cases to certificates to plushies. One constant, though, is Disney’s resident winged mascot. Tinker Bell has jurisdiction over lost teeth thanks to her personal friendship with the tooth fairy. And a lost tooth at Disney is a very magical moment!

What to do when your child loses a tooth

  • If the tooth is already loose, have small bills on hand. While Tink provides a little pixie dust, she does not provide the cash. I may or may not have been caught with only $20s on hand once. Home tooth fairy is not that generous.
  • We always have ziptop bags on hand, but keep something on your person to store the precious cargo.
  • Once you are back at the hotel, speak with the front desk. They should have something on hand for you to deliver to your toothless wonder.
  • I have also sprinkled a little glitter or brushed a little shimmery eye shadow on the bill to add a bit of magic.
