This might be the current toughest ticket in town! Opening in 2021, the last couple of years have seen slim to no availability for the out of this world restaurant. We lucked out a couple of times, actually, as I grabbed an earlier seating the day before our original reservation about three hours before the reservation. Granted, we were a small party of three, but availability may be opening up at Space 220.
The Atmosphere
*Spoiler Alert* If you want to experience everything without pre-knowledge, pass on reading this section. 😉
Space 220 is located right next to Mission: SPACE in the World Discovery section of Epcot. The existing atmosphere already gets you in the mood for dining al luna, but the real show is getting to the dining room.
Guests board transport in the main lobby of the restaurant are blasted off from Epcot to literal outer space (well, not literal but literally looks like) in a glass bottom, glass top vehicle.
Once you reach your destination, ceiling-high windows span the walls giving you a gorgeous view of Earth and its surrounding air space.
The dining room is sleek, cool and sophisticated with plenty of space (no pun intended), comfy seating and large tables.

The Menu
Upscale feel but extremely approachable. I didn’t drink with the littles in tow, but I hear the cocktails are pretty great! Note that this is a prix fixe meal, and unlike many Walt Disney World restaurants, there is a difference between lunch and dinner in both price and inclusions.

The default menu is via QR code, but my phone was almost dead.
Space and Steak Fries
Grilled Filet Medallion, Space Fries; the steak was a bit tough and dry for a filet
Spaceghetti
Chicken Meatball and Tomato Sauce; he loved it!
Big Bang Burrata
Burrata Mozzarella, Romesco Sauce, Preserved Fruits, Focaccia Crostini; amazing – took my taste buds back to Italy!
Filet Mignon
Certified Angus Beef, Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Haricot Vert, Red Wine Reduction; delicious!
Cosmic Cupcake
Chocolate Vegan Devil’s Food Cake, Topped with Vanilla Frosting & Galactic Sprinkles; the cake was great!
Strawberry Sorbet
Delicious!!
The Verdict
This was our first visit, as I typically don’t stress over table service for our family (I do that for you guys!!). I will likely bring the rest of the crew here, too, but at the dinner price point, the value isn’t there for me past the first wow factor visual experience. We would definitely grab lunch if the reservation was open.
And if you don’t want to stress over reservation, get you a great travel agent! 😉
