Making your way around Walt Disney World can be a bit of an undertaking, especially if you’re headed anywhere other than the four main theme parks. Disney does a terrific job of getting you to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs with complimentary bus, watercraft, Skyliner and monorail transportation throughout the property. However, if you’re looking to travel from resort to resort, maybe hit up the water parks or are in a pinch for time, the typical options may not be as convenient. Resort to resort travel and water parks may often include a transfer adding time to your commute.

Enter rideshare. Uber and Lyft (referral code) are plentiful around the Walt Disney World Resort and easily cut time off of travel around the property. If you’re “time is money”-minded, you’re all set. However, if you happen to have that mindset and also have a large family that includes littles under 5, rideshare isn’t always as friendly. Absence of infant and toddler car seats and limited space can prove challenging for families looking for Disney transportation alternatives.

Disney has your back, Jack! Minnie Vans have been a blessing for us on multiple occasions when we didn’t have our own vehicle on property. With larger options from SUVs to vans to Sprinter-type choices, big groups have a much easier time finding a ride around the World. Additionally, Minnie Vans have access to closer pick-ups and drop-offs at the parks, which is nice on those sore feet days. On top of the higher capacity vehicles and VIP pick-up points, all Minnie Vans come equipped with two car seats and a driver who is trained to install them safely and correctly! The nerd in me also loves that the drivers are filled with Disney trivia and park loop playlists.

Of course, as most things with Disney do, Minnie Vans come with a higher price tag than typical rideshare, but for the conveniences and extra space, it’s worth it for us when the whole family is in tow. When traveling for work, we stick with standard rideshare.

Minnie Vans are accessed through the Lyft app (referral code).
