Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside

Lights! Camera! Action! In my quest to stay at all of the Walt Disney World resort hotels, I convinced Siriann to book a night at All-Star Movies before we moved to Gran Destino and then Disney’s Riviera for opening day! Since I was arriving late, I thought it would be the perfect chance to try it out while also not paying an arm and a Mickey ear to add another night at a higher level resort. Little did I know how late I’d be. Like, falling into bed at 4:45 A.M. after two flight delays and an extra long wait for Disney’s Magical Express. Arriving so late at the resort does afford one the opportunity to snap a few people-free pics, so there’s that. The theme is absolutely adorable, and this would be a fun stay for family with a little Disney movie aficionado in the crew! The rooms are small and basic, so it would also be a money-saving option for travelers who are spending most of their time in the parks and don’t need to refresh in the lap of luxury.

Donald’s Double Feature Gift Shop

Near the door to the bus stop, you’ll pass Donald’s Double Feature gift shop where you can find gifts, sundries, snacks and more.

Guest Rooms

All-Star Movies features five fun sections based on iconic Disney movies: 101 Dalmations, Toy Story, Fantasia/Fantasia 2000, Mighty Ducks and The Love Bug.  While each area pays homage to its namesake, the rooms are essentially identical in each section. As mentioned earlier, small and simple, they’re great for guests who will spend their time in the parks and are just back at the resort to catch a nap, wash up and rest.

Standard Rooms

All rooms are standard with the preferred (closer to lobby, food court and transportation) sections being 101 Dalmations, Toy Story and Fantasia. Rooms are equipped with two double beds (one being a pull-down Murphy bed/dining table), flat screen TV, dresser, drink cooler (fridge-ish), iron/board, small safe and free Wi-Fi.

Please excuse the “slept-in” appearance. I arrived well after my roomie moved in and went to bed.

Dining

Grab a quick bite at the food court open 6:30 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. offering pizza/pasta, sandwiches, burgers, plant-based options, etc., or opt for pizza delivery while stay at All-Star Movies. Silver Screen Spirits pool bar will quench your poolside thirst.

World Premiere Food Court

Recreation

The Fantasia and Duck Pond Pools are cool spots to refresh during a park break. The Movie Under the Stars can be found at the Reel Spot just outside World Premiere Food Court. A playground and the Reel Fun arcade are also kid-pleasers at the resort.
