All-Star Movies Resort
Walt Disney World
Lights, Camera, Disney Magic
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort brings some of the most iconic Disney films to life with larger-than-life characters, colorful theming and plenty of playful details throughout the resort. While it may not have the amenities of a deluxe or moderate resort, it delivers exactly what many Disney guests are looking for — a fun, affordable place to stay surrounded by Disney magic.
My first stay at All-Star Movies came during my quest to stay at every Walt Disney World resort hotel. I convinced our travel agency owner to book a night here before we moved on to Gran Destino Tower and Disney’s Riviera Resort for opening day. Since I was arriving late, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to check another resort off the list without paying deluxe prices for an extra night. Little did I know just how late I’d be. After two flight delays, I finally fell into bed around 4:45 AM. The upside? Almost nobody was around for those peaceful, people-free resort photos!
We returned for a quick weekend trip to visit the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and my middles had a blast. The rooms are small and simple, but for families who spend most of their time in the parks and want a budget-friendly Disney resort with big personality, All-Star Movies can be a great fit.

More Magic Tips
A few tips go a long way toward making your All-Star stay even more magical!
-
Request your favorite movie. Although certain sections do have bookable categories, you can request a specific area. While there is no guarantee these will be granted, a little patience on check-in day often pays off.
- Stay here on arrival day. If you’re arriving later in the day, All-Star Movies is one of the best values on property and allows you to experience the fun of the values without committing to an entire stay.
- Hang out at the other All-Star resorts. The three hotels are sisters, and registered guests can use the amenities at all three. That’s right, Disney-sanctioned pool hopping!
- Let us help you choose the right All-Star. Movies, Music and Sports often cost about the same, but they each have a completely different feel. We’ll help you decide whether the playful movie theming, Sports’ location or Music’s family suites make the most sense for your vacation. When you book your Disney vacation with us, we’ll help you find the resort and room category that fits the way your family actually vacations.
Our Take on All-Star Movies
Disney’s All-Star Movies isn’t one we find ourselves returning to very often, but that’s mostly because our family likes to slow down and enjoy our resorts, and we’re frequently traveling with more than four people.
That said, it’s easy to see why so many families love it. The larger-than-life movie theming is fun, bright and unapologetically Disney, making it an exciting home base for kids (and kids at heart). It’s also one of the most budget-friendly ways to stay inside the Disney bubble without sacrificing that unmistakable Disney atmosphere.
If your priority is maximizing your park time, stretching your vacation budget and having a cheerful place to come back to each night, Disney’s All-Star Movies is a solid choice.
