Crystal Palace
SHARE A MEAL WITH WINNIE THE POOH AND FRIENDS AT THIS CHARMING MAGIC KINGDOM FAVORITE, FEATURING CHARACTER DINING, A BOUNTIFUL BUFFET AND A LIGHT-FILLED VICTORIAN GARDEN PARTY ATMOSPHERE.
Crystal Palace has become one of our Walt Disney World traditions. Sweet characters, a solid breakfast offering and the ability to score a pre-park opening reservation in Magic Kingdom without spending Cinderella’s Royal Table money (which we do enjoy, too!) make this one we keep coming back to.
The character buffet offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we’re a breakfast family at Crystal Palace. On a couple of occasions, Stitchy and I have enjoyed dinner here as well (including during the Coolest Summer Ever, because honestly, when is Crystal Palace at midnight not a good idea?!), but when we’re in Magic Kingdom, we usually lean toward quick service for lunch and dinner.
That said, with the somewhat limited table service options inside Magic Kingdom, Crystal Palace remains a great “something for everyone” choice.
The Atmosphere
The restaurant is surrounded by windows and filled with gorgeous natural light during the day, especially in the morning. Just be aware that all that beautiful sunshine can make for some very squinty character photos. As you’ll see in some of our pictures, it’s real! If this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, don’t feel weird about asking Pooh to scooch over to a less light-blasted spot for your photo op. Your future self will thank you.
The Characters
The Hundred Acre crew is here mingling with guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and honestly, we’re always happy to see them. Pooh and his friends are such a classic, sweet and cuddly bunch that Crystal Palace has become one of our favorite spots to slow down and enjoy some character time.
Pooj
During the 24-hour Coolest Summer Ever kick-off. Hour 20 for us! Stitchy said Pooh felt like a fat, soft pillow. Haha!
The Food
All meals at Crystal Palace feature an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, with plenty of classic Disney favorites and something for everyone. Our favorite stop is breakfast! Pooh’s French Toast and the breakfast lasagna are both fun, unique offerings that make this meal stand out from your typical breakfast buffet.
Our Take
Crystal Palace has earned its spot as one of our family favorites for a reason. It may not be the trendiest character meal or the one with the most unique menu, but there’s something special about walking into this beautiful space, sitting down with a plate of breakfast favorites and seeing Pooh and friends make their way around the room.
For first-time visitors, it’s a wonderful way to combine a classic Magic Kingdom experience with character dining, especially if a pre-park opening reservation is on your Disney wish list. For returning guests, it’s the kind of place that feels like coming home.
And speaking of coming home, take a little peek into our many visits to Crystal Palace over the years. While it isn’t a traditional dining guide, it captures some of the moments that have made this restaurant a Walt Disney World tradition for our family — from character hugs to breakfast favorites and all the little bits of Disney magic in between.
Sometimes Disney magic isn’t about finding the newest or most exciting thing. Sometimes it’s about the places that make you smile every time you come back. And for us, Crystal Palace is one of those places. 💛
