Would we return? Absolutely, especially if we can snag a window table during the nighttime spectacular.
Situated on the waterfront overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon, La Hacienda is a beautiful spot to wind down after a day of touring, margarita in hand and tacos on the table.
The warm and inviting dining room features near floor to ceiling windows offering great views of the nighttime spectacular if you can time your reservation right. Unfortunately for us, we ended up in the corner of the room, almost an anteroom, with nothing but a tiny window well above eye level.
That said, we didn’t end up staying for fireworks, but the tastes ended up being good enough to offset the dismal “view” from our table. Unfortunately, I didn’t get many food pics, as most of it was dug into before I could snap a shot, but that’s just a testament to the tastiness. And, of course, it means we had to book again. You know, for research purposes.
On our return to Hacienda, we were seated in the main dining room. While we still weren’t along the windows, we had a much better view of World Showcase Lagoon and were able to enjoy the lower portions of the nighttime spectacular from our table. It was a really nice addition to the meal and gave us a completely different experience from our first visit.

The Food
The menu features Mexican-inspired cuisine with plenty of fresh flavors and several dishes with seafood influences.
There is a lot of great food at Epcot, but La Hacienda holds its own with dishes that feel like a nice step away from typical theme park dining. Our meals disappeared quickly enough that we didn’t capture everything, which probably tells you more than a perfectly staged food photo ever could.

Our Take
There is no shortage of incredible restaurants in Epcot, so La Hacienda has plenty of competition.
For us, the combination of the food, atmosphere and location makes it a restaurant we would happily return to. The waterfront setting is beautiful, and getting to enjoy even part of the nighttime spectacular from your table is a fun bonus with the right timing.
That said, we would not recommend La Hacienda as someone’s first viewing of Epcot’s nighttime spectacular. While a window table can provide a great experience, most seating does not offer a complete view of the show, and you may miss portions of it from inside the restaurant. If you’ve already experienced the show from around World Showcase and want to enjoy dinner with a beautiful lagoon backdrop, La Hacienda is a great choice. evening.
Either way, queso, margaritas and a waterfront dinner are a pretty solid Epcot combination.
