Would we return? Absolutely. The combination of a fun atmosphere, kid-approved energy and food that adults genuinely enjoy makes this an easy repeat for us.

If you’re looking for a hearty meal at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Roundup Rodeo BBQ might be your new go-to. As the newest addition to Toy Story Land, this restaurant brings Andy’s world to life with an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style meal featuring barbecue favorites, fresh sides and Disney-inspired desserts.

We went in knowing the atmosphere was going to be the main event, but we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the food too. It’s a restaurant that understands the assignment: bring the Toy Story fun while still serving a meal that feels worth sitting down for.

The Scene

Before we get started, a quick photo disclaimer: despite what my pictures might suggest, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is not completely blue. 😂

The restaurant does have darker lighting and plenty of colorful details, but my camera definitely exaggerated the blue tones and made the whole space look much more like a Smurf barbecue than it actually is.

The magic of Roundup Rodeo BBQ is the immersion.

This is the playroom brought to life, complete with oversized toys, scattered belongings and the delightful chaos of a kid’s imagination. The entire space is designed to make you feel like you’ve been shrunk down and dropped right into Andy’s world.

And with that comes an important planning note. If you are someone who gets easily overwhelmed by visual or aural clutter, this is a restaurant where you’ll want to know what you’re walking into. It’s busy, it’s loud and it is intentionally designed to feel like controlled chaos.

For the right person, that’s what makes it magical. For someone who may have sensory challenges, this may be one to skip.

There are details everywhere, from hidden Easter eggs to little Toy Story touches that reward you for looking around while you wait. And don’t forget — when Andy’s coming, you know what to do.

Commit to the bit. The magic only works when everyone plays along. 😉

@magicmemoriesmayhem I’m so excited to highly recommend Roundup Rodeo at Hollywood Studios! ✨ New things can be iffy, but I was so pleasantly surprised at this great addition to the hit or miss table service options at Studios. #WoodysRoundupRodeo #HollywoodStudios #DisneyWorldTips #DisneyWorldTrip #DisneyVacation #DISNEYMom #ToyStory @@Disney Parks ♬ You Got A Friend In Me (From "Toy Story") (Karaoke Version) - Urock Karaoke

The Food

Roundup Rodeo BBQ is exactly what you’d expect from the name. The menu leans heavily into the protein side of things, with plenty of hearty options served family-style. But what surprised me most was how much I enjoyed the sides.

The sides brought some freshness and variety to balance out the heavier barbecue offerings. The watermelon was a standout — refreshing and exactly what I wanted alongside the rest of the meal.

And those biscuits? Carb me up.

The desserts continue the playful theme with Disney-inspired touches that are right at home in Toy Story Land.

Our Take

We’re in! Roundup Rodeo BBQ has officially earned a spot on our repeat list.

The best themed restaurants find that sweet spot between experience and food, and this one does a great job balancing both. Sometimes immersive dining can be so focused on the environment that the meal becomes forgettable, but that wasn’t our experience here.

The atmosphere is fun, the kids will love the adventure and the food is genuinely enjoyable for adults too.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that feels like an attraction while still delivering a satisfying meal, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is worth considering. It’s a little chaotic, a lot of fun and just the kind of Disney storytelling that makes this Disney dork happy.
