Would we return? We enjoyed our meal, but with a similar teppanyaki restaurant near home, we’d likely choose other Disney-specific dining experiences first.
We enjoyed a fun and tasty lunch at Teppan Edo with our pal CB and family, as it caters extremely well to their many food allergies. Located on the second floor of the Japanese pavilion at Epcot, this dining spot offers a magical teppanyaki experience right in the heart of the park.
If you’re not familiar with the experience, chefs cook your food upon a grill embedded right in the table! The experience is really more of a performance and is often filled with tricks, jokes and occasionally a prank or two in good fun. It really is a great dining experience and a fun way to celebrate.
Our Take
We love teppanyaki. We love Epcot. We just don’t need them both together. We have a local teppanyaki restaurant with an almost identical experience at a fraction of the price, which is nothing to sneeze at when you’re ballin’ on a budget.
We also like to embark on experiences at Disney World (or any vacation!) that we couldn’t easily replicate at home. While our experience was great and the food fantastic, we prefer to spend our meals at Disney-specific restaurants. Buuuut, if you don’t have something similar at home, then yes! This is fun and delicious!
