Perched atop the Coronado Springs’ Gran Destino Tower sits Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood. The beautiful restaurant is features Spanish flavors and seafood in a mellow yet upscale atmosphere. 

The Scene

The rooftop setting is one of Toledo’s biggest draws. Located at the top of Gran Destino Tower, the restaurant offers beautiful views and a more refined atmosphere than many Walt Disney World dining locations.

Inspired by Spanish surrealism, the design feels polished and intentional. This is a restaurant that feels suited for adults, business dinners or a special evening where the focus is on conversation, food and the setting.

The Food

Spanish flavors, seafood and steak are the standouts here. The menu features a mix of tapas, larger plates and specialty drinks.

The food and drinks were well executed, and the flavors matched the more elevated feel of the restaurant. If you enjoy Spanish-inspired cuisine or a more sophisticated dining experience, Toledo delivers.

Dahlia Lounge

Across the floor you’ll find the Spanish surrealism-inspired Dahlia Lounge, which is the perfect accompaniment to Toledo for before or after dinner drinks. Of course, it’s also a beautiful stop on its own if you’re just craving a splash with a view. The full bar—with its top-notch mixologists—offers up delicious libations to complement your surroundings. The wine selection includes an impressive array of high-end Spanish cavas.

Our Take

While I appreciate the feel and the food, Toledo isn’t a spot we’ll probably visit too often. Definitely not somewhere I’d take the littles and probably not even a reservation I’d make unless we were staying in the tower and didn’t want to venture out too far for dinner.

I know not all travelers feel the same, but when we’re at Walt Disney World, we want to be Disney-ed everywhere. We’re doing character meals, highly themed dining options or something quick (well, quickish) to hit our next attraction. Toledo is a gorgeous restaurant but doesn’t really hit those marks for us. It’s easily something we could find outside of the gates or even closer to home.

That said, Coronado Springs is a conference resort. All guests here may not be Disney geeks like we are, and Toledo is a great spot for post-meeting dining or a business meal without having to leave the resort.

In fact, this is exactly what brought us to Toledo. We were hosted at Gran Destino during the Owner’s Summit and wanted to talk strategy while eating something a little more upscale. Toledo absolutely fit the bill for our purposes, and it must’ve done so for other attendees as well, as we were able to network quite a bit before and after our meal both in the restaurant and next door at Dahlia Lounge.
