As a travel agent specializing in Disney destinations (how’s that for an official, only Disney-approved title), I’m often lucky enough to participate in exciting events at Walt Disney World! One of those was being one of the first guests to check in at Disney’s Riviera Resort on opening day, December 16, 2019 (ahem3daysbeforemybirthdayahem). In addition to a stay at the newest resort, we also had a perfectly artistic breakfast atop the resort at Topolino’s Terrace. Fun Fact: Topolino is the Italian name for Mickey Mouse! It was spectacular, and I can’t wait to take the family and pop in for dinner, too!
*Update 03.2023* This is still a hot ticket reservation, but I was able to snag a next day reservation during our spring break trip in 2023, and needless to say, it was a family favorite. Four generations at breakfast, and everyone loved the food, characters and the beautiful atmosphere.

Topolino’s Terrace
Featuring big, bright windows filling the restaurant with natural light, the space is airy and welcoming. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house.
Food
Following the lead of Trattoria, there is a menu to choose from as opposed to a buffet or family style. Breakfast begins with shared pastries served with an artistic flair. And, let me say, the menu is small but scrumptious! The Wood-fired Butchers Steak is perfection!

Characters
Breakfast brings the newest art students studying at the Riviera! Topolino, the painter; Minnie, the poetess; Daisy the prima ballerina; Donald the sculptor. And they’re as adorable as that sounds! Much like Garden Grill, due to the size of the restaurant, the characters may make their way to your table more than once for some adorable interactions.
