Beaches and Cream at Walt Disney World

✨ The Magic & Mayhem Must-Knows

Location: Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Best for: Crews who love nostalgic dining, classic diner food and anyone with a love for ice cream

The Scene: A tiny retro soda shop tucked away near Stormalong Bay — equal parts old-fashioned charm, diner nostalgia and dessert chaos
Must-try: The Kitchen Sink (bring friends, bring an appetite and maybe bring a plan!)
Would we return? Absolutely. The burgers are some of our favorites on property, and there’s nothing quite like ending a resort day with an enormous ice cream challenge.

One of our favorite stops at Walt Disney World is tucked away behind Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop has always been right up my alley because, much like 50’s Prime Time Cafe, I have a soft spot for restaurants that feel like a little time capsule.

There’s just something magical about stepping into a classic soda shop, especially one where the main attractions are cheeseburgers, milkshakes and an ice cream creation big enough to make your entire table question your life choices. 😂

For years, Beaches & Cream was a beloved walk-up spot, but these days reservations are highly recommended. If you’re just craving something sweet, they still offer ice cream treats to-go, which is a great option when you don’t have a dining reservation.

The Scene

Beaches & Cream was small. Like, really small. Before its reimagining, the tiny dining room was part of the charm — a cozy little soda shop hidden along the walkway between the Yacht and Beach Clubs.

The updated space added more seating and a brighter, more open feel, but longtime fans may notice that some of the old-school vibe has changed. A few nostalgic details are still there, but the experience feels a little less like stopping in at your favorite malt shop and more like a polished ice cream spot.

That said, it’s still a fun stop, especially if you’re already spending time at the Beach Club, enjoying Stormalong Bay or exploring the Epcot resort area.

The Food

Now the menu, on the other hand, is exactly what you’d hope for from an old-fashioned soda shop: burgers, sandwiches, fries and plenty of sweet treats.

The cheeseburgers are the standout for us and remain some of our favorite burgers at Walt Disney World. The chili is also a comfort food favorite, especially when topped with plenty of cheese. It’s simple, classic diner food.

Of course, most people come to Beaches & Cream for the ice cream.

And specifically? The Kitchen Sink.

This legendary dessert includes eight scoops of ice cream, every topping imaginable and a whole can of whipped cream. A whole can?! Yes, a whole can.

We’ve attempted the Kitchen Sink with several people more than once, and it has defeated us every time. The syrupy sweetness at the bottom is always where our victory dreams come to an end.

One day, though. One day.

@magicmemoriesmayhem Seventh attempt at the Kitchen Sink sundae at Beaches & Cream 🍨✨ Not rookies, just hungry for real(ish) food first…which means we didn’t finish this sugar mountain (again). Still, ya gotta try. It’s a Disney rite of passage: an entire sink of ice cream, cake, brownies, cookies, whipped cream, delivered with sirens blazing. Pure chaos. Pure fun. Pure sugar crash. 🍦🍦🍦 Will we ever actually conquer it? TBD. Our Take

Beaches & Cream is exactly the kind of Disney dining experience we love: nostalgic, fun and a little ridiculous in the best way.

It’s not a restaurant you visit because you’re looking for a groundbreaking culinary experience. You come here because you want a great burger, a giant milkshake and the joy of watching a dessert arrive that absolutely should not exist.

While we do miss some of the charm of the original tiny soda shop, Beaches & Cream is still a must-do for families who love classic Disney details and a little bit of food-related mayhem.

Just remember: the Kitchen Sink is not a dessert. It’s a team-building exercise. 😂
