Must-try: Big Bang Bocconcini (if it’s anything like the Big Bang Burrata, which was phenom!) and save room for the celestial desserts
Would we return? Yes, especially for lunch or with Disney first-timers who want the full wow factor. Dinner is fun, but the price point makes it harder for us to justify as a regular stop.

This might be one of the toughest reservations to snag at Walt Disney World.

Since opening in 2021, Space 220 has become one of those “Disney bucket list” dining experiences, with availability often disappearing quickly. We’ve actually gotten lucky a couple of times, including grabbing an earlier reservation just a few hours before dining on one visit.

Granted, we were a smaller party of three, which definitely helps. But if you’re flexible, don’t assume a sold-out calendar means there’s no hope. Disney dining availability can be surprisingly magical sometimes.

The Scene

Spoiler alert: If you want the full surprise of Space 220, skip this section! This is how I like to approach new to me experiences, so I wanted to give fair warning.

Located next to Mission: SPACE in Epcot’s World Discovery neighborhood, Space 220 begins building the story before you even reach your table.

Guests enter the space station lobby and board a futuristic space elevator that “launches” you 220 miles above Earth. Obviously, you aren’t actually leaving the planet (we promise Disney hasn’t figured that one out yet 😉), but the glass elevator experience does a surprisingly good job of making it feel like you’re taking a trip into orbit.

Once you arrive, floor-to-ceiling windows reveal sweeping views of Earth and the surrounding space station environment.

The dining room itself is sleek, modern and surprisingly comfortable. It feels futuristic without being cold, with plenty of room, cozy seating and large tables that make it easy to settle in for the experience.

If you’ve dined at Coral Reef, the layout idea is similar.

The Food

Space 220 offers a more elevated dining experience, but the menu remains approachable. Lunch and dinner both feature prix fixe menus, with different pricing and inclusions depending on the meal. This is an important detail because the experience can feel very different depending on when you visit.

The food was enjoyable, but this is not necessarily the kind of restaurant where the menu alone is the reason you make the reservation. You’re paying for the journey, the atmosphere and that unforgettable view.

The cocktails are also a popular part of the experience, and the drink menu fits nicely with the futuristic theme. I didn’t partake as the lone adult with the kiddos in tow, but if you need me to go back and try a few, I’ve got you.

Our Take

Space 220 is absolutely worth experiencing at least once.

The “wow” factor is real. The elevator launch, the space station setting and the view of Earth make this one of the more memorable dining experiences at Walt Disney World.

For our family, though, this is not an every-trip restaurant. The dinner price point makes it harder for us to justify returning regularly when there are so many Disney dining experiences where the food or storytelling changes with each visit. We would definitely consider grabbing a lunch reservation if we have newbies in the crew.

And if you don’t want to spend your vacation refreshing My Disney Experience hoping for a reservation to appear…well, maybe get yourself a great travel agent! 😉
