Must-try: A large pizza to share — it’s one of the best table service values at Walt Disney World.
Would we return? Again and again. It’s become one of our favorite places to eat at the World.
We first stumbled into Via Napoli on an delightfully unplanned stroll around World Showcase during a December trip. After snacking our way from Mexico to China, we were ready for something a little more substantial and happened upon Italy’s newest, at the time, restaurant.
The service wasn’t especially warm, but it wasn’t unfriendly either. They simply did their jobs. Honestly, it reminded me of cafés we’d visited in Italy, so maybe that’s part of the experience.
We decided to split a pizza, and it was fantastic. Despite already eating our way around World Showcase, we somehow managed to finish the whole thing, and Stitchy still found room for gelato.
That first meal made quite an impression.
The atmosphere was wonderful on this December almost-evening. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and mild weather. I can see how this might not be such a perfect spot in, say, August with the daily showers and sweltering heat. For us, though, this was a great experience and one we hope to replicate.
The Scene
Although we haven’t dined al fresco again, we have spent many a lunch and dinner in the warm, inviting dining room at Via Napoli.
It’s bright, open and lively. The massive communal table in the center feels like it’s waiting for a celebration, and the wonderfully themed wood-fired ovens become part of the atmosphere as much as the décor itself.
The Food
Via Napoli serves classic Italian favorites, but let’s be honest—you come here for the pizza.
The wood-fired pies are crisp, flavorful and big enough to share, making them one of the best values you’ll find at a Disney table service restaurant. While the pizza is the star, the pastas are absolutely delicious, too. Via Napoli serves one of my favorite plates of spaghetti, not just at Disney World, but anywhere.
Who wouldn’t want a piping hot pie out of those perfectly themed ovens? And speaking of pizza…

Avoid the Mayhem Tip: There is a walk-up window serving slices outside Via Napoli but it is not, I repeat, is not anywhere near the quality or taste of the pizza served inside. You’ve been warned.
Our Take
This one is a yes, every time.
The only non-stellar review was for the service. It’s never bad but not always friendly, which is what you come to expect at Disney. Even though the wait staff is still a little stiff at times, we have had a few magical servers. These guys, who also happened to serve friends of ours about a week prior to us, were happy, fun and lots of laughs. While great service can make an experience, we’ve decided it’s worth the chance we may get an annoyed server. The food is that good!
And the value is what really makes this a top choice for our crew. A Mezzo Metro that set us back about $40. While that may seem steep for a pizza, bear in mind that five of us ate that (with leftovers!) for $40. If you can find another table service for $8 a pop, let me know! Even when adding in drinks and desserts, we still come out well under the triple digit mark our clan is used to ponying up when we sit down to a table service meal at the mouse’s house.
Even though the price has increased a bit (I believe it’s almost to $50 these days), that’s still a heck of a deal when compared to Disney owned and operated locations.
