There is no shortage of delicious dining options at Disney’s Polynesian Village resort. From ‘Ohana’s extravagant dinners to Trader Sam’s interactive imbibing to the quintessential Dole Whip out at the Pineapple Lanai, you’ll likely find yourself at the resort at some point during your stay if you’re any kind of foodie. One restaurant that seems to fade a bit into the background despite top notch food and usually abundant availability is Kona Cafe.

On the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House, the open air restaurant offers American and Asian fare with a sprinkle of Polynesian influence. Famous for its Tonga Toast,  Kona is often a bit more crowded at breakfast but is also open for lunch and dinner. Ironically, we’ve never made our way to Kona to start the day but have enjoyed lunch and dinner. On that note, the ‘Ohana (and Tusker House) favorite, POG juice is on the menu…but beware! Unlike its neighbor, Kona does NOT offer free refills on the yummy beverage. Just making sure you know that before your bill comes. 😉

Next to Kona Cafe, you’ll find Kona Island offering sushi, coffee, pastries and even shaved ice on occasion! If you don’t have time for a full service meal at Kona Cafe, I highly recommend the sushi from Kona Island! And the pastries.
