Planning a Disney vacation as a military family comes with some unique opportunities but also a lot of questions. Which tickets are the best deal? Should you stay at a Disney Resort or look at Shades of Green? Where do you even purchase Military Salute tickets? Knowing what options are available can help you make the most of your vacation budget.
As a USMC family, we’ve used these offers ourselves over the years and know that sorting through all the details can feel a little overwhelming. That’s why we created this guide to bring everything together in one place — from current Walt Disney World and Disneyland offers to ticket purchasing, Shades of Green information and planning tips to help you decide what works best for your family.

Where to Purchase Military Tickets
Military families have several options when it comes to purchasing Disney tickets depending on your eligibility. Unfortunately, all of these options are in-person due to identification required, but once purchased, tickets can be linked to My Disney Experience or the Disneyland app.
For Walt Disney World, tax-free tickets may be purchased at your closest MWR/ITT office or Shades of Green. Select tickets can also be purchased at Walt Disney World ticket windows and are subject to tax.
If you’re headed to Disneyland, your only option is to purchase your tickets at your installation.

For guests hoping to purchase tickets at Shades of Green, you must meet eligibility requirements. Active duty and retired military and the following categories are eligible:
- Veterans with a Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC):
All veterans with a service-connected disability, Former POW, Purple Heart recipients, and Medal of Honor recipients with a Veterans Health Identification Card issued by the Veterans Affairs Office are eligible to purchase our discounted and tax-free tickets. Promotional tickets are not available for this category. Paperwork is not accepted; you must have the physical identification card issued to you. - Veterans with a DD214: If you do not fall in any of the above and are using your discharge papers, you may purchase the discounted and tax-free tickets in January or September, but the purchase must be made in person. The only exception to the “in person” policy is if you are staying at Shades of Green under the “Salute Our Veterans” program, in which case you can submit an advance ticket request no more than 30 days before your check-in date. Promotional tickets are not available for this category.
- Dependents: A dependent spouse is eligible to purchase tickets using a current identification card. Child dependents are eligible to purchase tickets or their legal guardian as long as the child is present, and the identification card is current. Child dependents and former spouses with benefits do not qualify for the promotional tickets but may purchase any other discounted and tax-free tickets. Deceased with Benefits (DB)/Widow, become the sponsor, therefore are/is eligible for the promotional tickets.
- Foreign Service Members: Military personnel of foreign nations and their family members are eligible to purchase tickets from us only if assigned or attached to a U.S. military unit or installation or on U.S. Travel Orders.

Shades of Green at Walt Disney World
Located right on Walt Disney World property is Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center designed specifically for eligible members of the military community and their families. This resort offers another way to stay close to the magic while taking advantage of military-exclusive pricing.
Guests staying at Shades of Green are eligible for many of the same perks as Walt Disney World resort hotel guests such as extra time in the parks. Additionally, Shades is practically neighbors with Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort making it a great option for staying in the middle of the magic.

2026 Walt Disney World Promotional Tickets
These tickets are specially priced and only available to active or retired members of the US Military, including the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Spouses of Eligible Military Service Members also qualify if they can present valid and active US Military IDs.
Identification is required both to purchase the tickets (regardless of location) and again to activate the tickets prior to entering the parks. Tickets purchased at Shadse of Green are pre-activated and do not require the second step.

Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket
This is essentially an annual pass and allows guests to visit again and again through December 18, 2026, with a valid park reservation.
- With the Park Hopper Option: $499
- With the Park Hopper Plus Option: $529
6-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket
- With the Park Hopper Option: $449
- With the Park Hopper Plus Option: $479
5-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket
- With the Park Hopper Option: $429

4-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket
- With the Park Hopper Option: $409

Valid Admission Dates
Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Tickets and Disney Military Salute Tickets are valid for visits January 1, 2026, through December 18, 2026. All ticket types require an advance park reservation and are subject to the following block out dates:
- March 29 through April 11, 2026
- November 22 through November 28, 2026
Tickets and options expire and may not be used after December 18, 2026.
2026 Memory Maker Discount
Military families can also take advantage of a special price on Memory Maker for Walt Disney World vacations. Eligible guests can purchase Memory Maker for $98 through December 18, 2026.
Memory Maker includes downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos and videos captured throughout your vacation, including select attraction photos and videos.
For many families, this can be a great way to make sure everyone gets included in the memories — especially the person who is usually behind the camera.

2026 Disney Resort Hotel Discounts
As a member of the US military, you can save on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels for stays most nights from January 1 to December 18, 2026.

This offer is for active or retired US military personnel, including active or retired members of the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Spouses of Military Service Members also qualify if they are able to present valid and active US Military IDs in the absence of active or retired Military Personnel or Commissioned Corps Members.

2026 Disneyland Promotional Tickets
Identification is required both to purchase the tickets (regardless of location) and again to activate the tickets upon first entrance to the parks.
There are currently three promotional ticket options for Disneyland. Park reservations are required.

Valid Admission Dates
The 1-day ticket can be purchased and used through December 30, 2027. 3-day or 4-day tickets can be purchased through December 27, 2026 for usage through December 31, 2026.
Specially Priced Resort Rooms
As a member of the US military, you can enjoy great rates on select rooms at Disneyland Resort Hotels, valid for select nights from January 1 through December 31, 2026.
