Welcome back to another Disney Tip Tuesday, our (kinda) weekly bite-sized blog post offering up a fun tip for visiting your favorite Disney destinations. This week we take a look at Disney refillable popcorn buckets found at Walt Disney World.
We’re all about saving our pennies where we can so we can visit the mouse more often. Enter the refillable popcorn bucket. This little baby (and, honestly, she’s getting littler each year, it seems) will currently (spring 2024) set you back $13 for the standard bucket. Collectible themed buckets will vary. Each refill is a mere $2.25 (although this prices seems to rise as the size falls). Not too bad for a bucket of that hot, buttery goodness!
Now, there’s lots of discussion about reusing buckets from previous trips. While the official verbiage is “length of stay,” I’ve seen old buckets refilled with no issue. We’re rarely prepared enough to bring our previous buckets or the kids have commandeered them for outside play, but I can say on a spring 2024 visit, I saw three people in line with, in this order, a Disney 100 bucket, Disney World 50th bucket and the current bucket all refill without a second glance. So, your miles may vary, you do you, boo.
