Welcome back to another Disney Tip Tuesday, our (sometimes) weekly bite-sized blog post offering up a fun tip for visiting your favorite Disney destinations. This week’s short but useful tip applies to all the Disney destinations in the states.
We love an eco-friendly move, but Disney’s paper straws leave a lot to be desired. Nothing kills the joy of a cold drink quite like a straw that starts disintegrating halfway through your beverage! If you prefer drinking with a straw, we highly recommend tossing a few reusable ones in your park bag. They’re easy to bring along, work for your favorite Disney drinks and let you skip the soggy paper straw situation altogether.
Our personal favorite? Metal straws that come with a little cleaning brush so we can give them a quick scrub and toss them back in the bag. We’ve also tried foldable silicone straws that we received in a DCL Fish Extender gift exchange, and while we loved the idea, they didn’t exactly excel at their primary job. 😂 They tended to buckle in the cups or get suctioned to the bottom, which makes sipping your drink a bit of an ordeal.
We also tend to carry our Corksicle bottles or tumblers, so those come with their own sippers, anyway. Either way you go, pack an alternative or drink fast!
