Walt Disney World Meets Saratoga Charm
We had the fantastic experience of staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa shortly after the reopening of the refurbished Treehouse Villas in 2009. During that trip, we also added a last-minute night at the main resort and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a two-bedroom villa!
From the spacious accommodations to the peaceful atmosphere, Saratoga Springs offers a relaxing escape while still keeping you close to the magic. Please forgive the lack of photos from this stay — it was the trip where we sadly lost a camera. I suppose that just means we’ll need to plan another visit to capture more memories!

Saratoga Springs offers accommodations designed with comfort and the conveniences of home in mind. From cozy Deluxe Studios to spacious villas with full kitchens and separate living areas, there’s an option for just about every travel style. Looking for something a little different? The secluded Treehouse Villas offer a unique woodland retreat with plenty of room for larger families and groups.

Preferred locations (closer to Carriage House Lobby or Disney Springs) are available in each room type (aside from Treehouses). Studios will include a kitchenette, while villas feature a full kitchen and washer/dryer.

It has been a hot minute since our stay at Saratoga Springs, so our room photos are a little time capsule of the early 2000s décor and phone photo quality. Of course, that just means we’ll need to book another stay again soon… for the benefit of you, dear reader and potential guest, naturally.

Treehouse Villa
The Treehouse Villa was such a fantastic option, but please forgive the limited photos. With a whopping four pictures from our stay, it’s safe to say I was definitely not thinking about future resort guides and visuals back then, plus the whole lost camera debacle. Consider this your excuse to book a stay yourself… or mine to go back and do some captures research for you!

Shopping & Sundries
The Artist’s Palette is your one-stop stop at Saratoga Springs for a little bit of everything. Grab a made-to-order meal, pick up grab-and-go fare, browse gourmet foodstuffs and groceries or stock up on resort merchandise, gifts and sundries.
Golf fans can also swing by the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course Pro Shop for golf gear, apparel and essentials before hitting the links.
Dining
The Turf Club Bar and Grill offers a relaxed table service experience with hearty steaks, seasonal dishes and a cozy atmosphere inspired by classic horse-racing clubs.
The Artist’s Palette brings a creative twist to resort dining with made-to-order meals, grab-and-go options, groceries, snacks and sundries all in one convenient spot.
The Paddock Grill is the perfect poolside stop for sandwiches, salads, burgers and refreshing drinks after a dip in the Paddock Pool.
The Turf Club Lounge is a cozy spot to unwind with a signature cocktail, beer or drink before dinner.
On the Rocks keeps guests refreshed with cold drinks and poolside favorites near High Rock Spring Pool.
Backstretch Pool Bar offers quick refreshments, including cocktails, beer and snacks near the resort’s pools.
Chip ’n Dale’s Café at LBV Golf Course is a convenient stop for golfers looking for a quick bite, with snacks and light breakfast options.
Recreation & Activities
Saratoga Springs offers plenty of ways to play, relax and enjoy the resort beyond the parks. With its sprawling layout, five pools are spread throughout the property, including the High Rock Spring Pool and Paddock Pool feature pools, as well as quieter pools and hot tubs located throughout the resort, including Congress Park, Grandstand and the Treehouse Villas.
Families can enjoy plenty of activities, including Community Hall with games, crafts and activities, playgrounds, tennis, basketball, the Win, Place or Show Arcade and nightly campfire activities followed by Movie Under the Stars. For those looking to explore, Horsing Around Rentals offers bikes and surrey bikes to cruise the resort grounds, while fishing excursions and jogging trails provide even more ways to enjoy the beautiful property.
Golf lovers can also take advantage of Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, located nearby, while the resort’s health club offers fitness equipment for guests wanting to keep up with their routines during vacation.
High Rock Springs Pool
Here you can enjoy movies, games, crafts or just kick back and relax for a bit away from the busy parks.

A few tips go a long way toward making your stay at Saratoga Springs more magical!

Take advantage of Saratoga Springs’ location if the resort dining isn’t calling your name. You’re just a boat ride or walk away from Disney Springs, where you’ll find a huge variety of dining, shopping and entertainment options within minutes.

Know your preferred location before you request a room. If you want easy access to Disney Springs, Congress Park is a popular choice. Looking for convenience within the resort itself? The Springs area puts you close to the Carriage House, High Rock Spring Pool and many central amenities.

Make a stop at Community Hall for a low-key resort day activity. Located near the Carriage House, this is a great spot to rent DVDs, play board games, enjoy crafts and take part in complimentary recreation activities. It’s an easy way to add some Disney fun without spending extra money.

Our Take on Old Key West
It may not surprise you that Saratoga Springs has never been at the top of our personal resort ranking, but we can absolutely appreciate what it offers. The location near Disney Springs is fantastic, and the larger accommodations can be a great value compared to other deluxe resorts, especially for families who need extra space.
The horse-racing theme has never really been my personal Disney love language (give me a little more pixie dust and a little less paddock 😉), but I can appreciate the charm it brings to the resort. The Treehouse Villas, though? Those are a whole different story. They were such a fun and unique experience, and I would happily stay there again.
