Disney's Riviera Resort

Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside

I adore experiencing new things at Disney, so I was thrilled when we were offered the opportunity to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort on its opening day, December 16, 2019! European style with a Disney flair makes this newest resort a sparkling option for those looking for a more upscale feel while still wanting some of that world famous Disney magic.

Lobby

Much different than its predecessors, the Riviera features a small lobby without a true reception area. Guests are greeted by a cast member and escorted to a seating area to check in. La Boutique, a small gift shop, and Le Petit Cafe, offering coffee, libations and sweets, are both located in the lobby, as well.

Shopping

La Boutique offers resort and DVC merchandise, as well as snacks, toiletries and other sundries.

Guest Rooms

Riviera offers two types of studios and three villas and two different view options: standard (views of parking areas) and preferred (views of the grounds, water, and or Skyliner).

Tower Studios

The ultra compact tower studios (think cruise stateroom) include a queen murphy bed/sofa, mini kitchenette (of sorts), balcony and free wi-fi.

Deluxe Studios

In these larger studios you’ll find a queen bed, a queen murphy bed/sofa and a pull-down single. They also include a kitchenette with small fridge and microwave, a porch or balcony and free wi-fi.

One-Bedroom Villa

This spacious villa offers a king bed in the master and queen murphy bed/sofa and pull-down single in the living room. In addition to a washer/dryer, the villas include a full kitchen and a split bathroom that features 2 sink areas, a walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. Free wi-fi, of course, is included.

Two-Bedroom Villa

The two-bedroom offers an additional bedroom with two queen beds and a second full bathroom in addition to the features as listed above for the one-bedroom.

Three-Bedroom Villa

The three-bedroom offers an additional bedroom with two queen beds, a third full bathroom, formal dining area and an island in the kitchen in addition to the features as listed above for the one- and two-bedroom villas.

Dining

We were thoroughly impressed with the dining options at the Riviera! With a full kitchen in the larger villas, it might be tempting to eat in to save a bit, but consider trying all options at least once!

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

We were lucky enough to stumble onto an open breakfast reservation the night before the grand opening of the Riviera. After scrambling to get our Rise of the Resistance boarding passes, we made our way back to the Riviera to enjoy Disney’s newest rooftop restaurant. The space is bright, expansive and airy with a touch of accessible elegance. The food was fantastic, and the characters are adorably outfitted in their artist best as they share their passions while studying in the Riviera. We can’t wait to try dinner, too!

Primo Piatto

When it comes to quick service, Disney hit this one out of le ballpark! I ate here twice just to try different things because it was so good! This one even garnered a Twitter #CastCompliment from me because the opening team was absolutely killing it in terms of service and efficiency.

Le Petit Cafe

Oh la la! Off the main lobby, stop in for un petit treat in the form of specialty coffees, libations, pastries, small plates and sweets.

Bar Riva

Stop in after a dip in the gorgeous pools, on your way in from the parks or just to enjoy a drink and fresh fare at the pool adjacent Bar Riva.

Recreation

Two gorgeous pool areas beckon Riviera guests with two distinctly different experiences. The Riviera Pool is perfect for families featuring a pool slide, S’il Vous Play sprayground and even a gelato cart! Looking for a more chill pool vibe? Dip into the beautiful Beau Soleil pool surrounded by the gorgeous Riviera and swaying palms. Looking to get in a workout? The well-appointed Athlétique Fitness Center has got you covered.

The Eventi Room

Known as Community Hall at most DVC resorts, here you can enjoy movies, games, crafts or just kick back and relax for a bit away from the busy parks.
