Topolino’s Terrace

We were lucky enough to stumble onto an open breakfast reservation the night before Riviera’s grand opening! After a little opening-day chaos (including scrambling to secure our Rise of the Resistance boarding passes), we made our way back to enjoy Topolino’s Terrace.

This rooftop restaurant offers a bright, expansive and airy space with a touch of accessible elegance. The food was fantastic, and Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy arrive dressed in their artiste best, sharing their passions while studying at the Riviera.

Primo Piatto

When it comes to quick service, Disney hit this one out of the ballpark! I ate here twice just to try different menu items because it was that good. Primo Piatto even earned a public socials #CastCompliment from me because the opening team was absolutely crushing it with their service, friendliness and efficiency.

Le Petit Cafe

Oh la la! Off the main lobby, stop in for un petit treat in the form of specialty coffees, libations, pastries, small plates and sweets.

Bar Riva

Stop in after a dip in the gorgeous pools, on your way in from the parks or just to enjoy a drink and fresh fare at the pool adjacent Bar Riva.

Around the Resort

From the beautiful landscaping and elegant architecture to the swaying palms and charming artwork tucked throughout the property, every corner feels thoughtfully designed. Take a stroll, enjoy the fountains and gardens or simply slow down for a moment.

Lobby

Much different than its predecessors, the Riviera features a small lobby without a true reception area. Guests are greeted by a cast member and escorted to a seating area to check in.

More Magic Tips

A few tips go a long way toward making your Riviera stay even more magical!

• Ask the front desk about the free Pascal scavenger hunt. Pick up a guide and explore the resort grounds while searching for Pascal, the adorable chameleon from Tangled, hidden throughout the artwork and gardens.

• Don’t expect a huge resort shop at Riviera. La Boutique is beautifully themed, but it is smaller than many other Disney resorts, especially compared to other DVC resorts that often have expanded shopping options. If you need more groceries, souvenirs or essentials than what’s available, consider using delivery services.

• Take a moment to enjoy the views from Topolino’s Terrace. Whether you’re dining for breakfast or dinner, the rooftop terrace offers gorgeous views of the resort and surrounding Walt Disney World landscape.

• Use an experienced travel agent who knows the little details that make a Disney trip better. Our Take on the Riviera Resort

Riviera is beautiful. Like, really beautiful. The dining is fantastic, the rooms are gorgeous and the details throughout the resort are absolutely lovely. But here’s where my personal Disney bias comes in: it doesn’t always give me that “Disney bubble” feeling I love so much.

For the prices, I personally want to feel a little more connected to the parks, and Riviera’s location doesn’t give me that same immediate immersion as some other deluxe resorts. That said, the Skyliner is a huge perk and honestly such a fun way to travel. There’s something magical about hopping on a gondola and gliding over Walt Disney World on your way to the parks.

I do highly recommend dining here, though. From the quick service at Primo Piatto to a coffee and treat at Le Petit Café to a meal at Topolino’s Terrace, Riviera offers some fantastic ways to experience the resort without committing to a full stay. You may just find that little taste of the Riviera inspires your next resort choice.
