Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one of those resorts that has earned a permanent spot on our favorites list. We’ve stayed here many times over the years, and even when we’re booked somewhere else, we still find ourselves wandering over for a visit because there’s just something about this resort that pulls you in.
With Epcot practically in your backyard, Hollywood Studios within walking or boating distance and the BoardWalk just across Crescent Lake, the location is hard to beat. Add in the incredible Stormalong Bay pool complex and the relaxed beachy atmosphere, and Beach Club is a resort that makes it easy to enjoy both the parks and the downtime in between. It’s a great fit for families who want a little more flexibility in their Disney days and a resort that feels like part of the vacation, not just where you sleep.

Just off the lobby, Cape May Cafe brings a little seaside fun to Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Start your day with a beach party character breakfast featuring Goofy and friends, or stop by for dinner and enjoy a New England-inspired seafood buffet. It’s a great option when you want a memorable meal without having to leave your resort.

Sure, you could stop by Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for a quick refill or to grab an ice cream cone, but we highly recommend making time to sit down for a meal. The burgers are seriously good, and if you’re feeling extra adventurous, take on the legendary Kitchen Sink ice cream sundae! This nostalgic soda shop is a fun break from the parks and a must-do for many Beach Club guests. Just remember…the Kitchen Sink is exactly what it sounds like: a whole lot of dessert, so bring friends (or a very enthusiastic sweet tooth).

Situated in the rear of the gift shop, the Marketplace offers grab and go goods, a small grocery area and hot sandwiches, flatbreads, soup and more. Even when not staying in the Epcot resort area, we love to stop in for a flatbread or cup of chowder to enjoy in the Solarium.

Ariel’s
Nearby Martha’s Vineyard is a space typically reserved as a wedding or reception venue. However, it occasionally serves as a dining location when others at the resort are under construction or refurbishment.

Hurricane Hanna’s Grill offers burgers and other quick service fare for guests hanging out at Stormalong Bay or just passing by. It also serves as a mug refill spot. Kids’ meals come in a bucket perfect for building castles on the sand bar!
Hidden at the very end of the Beach Club’s interior hallway (just before heading out to Stormalong Bay), Martha’s Vineyard boasts a full bar and serves up appetizers to those needing a quiet place to wind down after a day at the pool or the park.
Recreation & Activities
The Beach Club, along with its sister resort, the Yacht Club, features one of the most impressive pool areas on Disney property. Stormalong Bay is practically a mini water park, with a sand-bottom pool, water slide, lazy river, whirlpool, sand bar and plenty of space to make a full resort day out of swimming. Complimentary life jackets are also available for younger guests.
For those looking to stay active or relax without a park day, Ship Shape Health Club offers fitness equipment along with salon and spa services. Guests can also head over to Lafferty Place Arcade for some classic Disney vacation competition and family fun.
Of course, you can also keep things simple and end the evening together with a campfire and a Movie Under the Stars.

Stormalong Bay
Stormalong Bay is one of the biggest draws of Disney’s Beach Club Resort and is often considered one of the best pools on Walt Disney World property. This three-acre water playground, shared exclusively by Beach Club and Yacht Club guests, feels more like a mini water park than a typical resort pool. Stormalong Bay is so popular that it can be tempting to plan your entire vacation around pool time. Honestly? We wouldn’t blame you.
Guests can enjoy a sand-bottom pool, a lazy river, a massive waterslide built into a shipwreck, whirlpools, a sand bar and plenty of areas to relax. Complimentary life jackets are available, making it a great choice for families with little swimmers. Access is reserved for registered Beach Club and Yacht Club guests, with entrances monitored and wristbands required to enter. This helps keep the area from becoming overcrowded and allows resort guests to fully enjoy the space.

A few tips go a long way toward making your Beach Club vacation even more magical!

Find the shortcuts. Beach Club’s hallways can feel a little like a Disney maze, especially when you’re trying to get somewhere quickly. If you’re heading toward Crescent Lake for Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the other resorts, look for nearby doors and stairwells instead of always trekking back through the lobby. Your feet will thank you.

Catch the fireworks from the beach. You don’t need an Epcot park ticket to enjoy a little nighttime magic. Head out to the Beach Club beach area and look up. You’ll be able to catch higher fireworks from Epcot lighting up the sky.

Don’t sleep on the BoardWalk. Beach Club and Yacht Club are the calm, coastal siblings, but the Boardwalk is their livelier cousin. Take a stroll or hop on a boat over to enjoy entertainment, snacks, nightlife and plenty of Disney atmosphere.

Our Take on the Beach Club
We absolutely love theBeach Club! This is one of those places that makes you want to cancel your plans, grab your pool bag and spend the day pretending you’re at a fancy beach getaway instead of counting down to rope drop.
Stormalong Bay alone can justify a stay, and we love having so many dining, shopping and Disney vibing options around Crescent Lake. The rooms are comfortable, the location is fantastic and the whole resort has that relaxed vacation feeling that makes it easy to settle in.
The only catch? That magic comes with a price tag. Beach Club can get expensive, but when a good promotion appears, we’re absolutely willing to jump on the chance to stay here. It’s a favorite for a reason, and we’ll happily keep coming back.
